Job Tracker – Privacy policy

Job Tracker is a private, single-user job-search tool that Greg Peden built for his own use. It runs on his own computer and is not offered to anyone else.

What it accesses

With the owner's permission, Job Tracker reads his Gmail with Google's read-only permission (gmail.readonly). It never sends, deletes or changes email. It reads only messages that match the owner's rules (known senders, chosen keywords and related threads); for other messages it keeps only the message id and date.

How the data is used and stored

• Email is read to help the owner keep track of his own job applications. An AI model running on the owner's computer screens and reads it; nothing changes until the owner reviews it.
• Data is stored on the owner's computer. Google access tokens are stored encrypted.
• Data is not sold, shared with anyone, or used for advertising.

Google API data

Job Tracker's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

Disconnecting Gmail in Job Tracker revokes its access and deletes the stored tokens. Access can also be removed at any time from the Google Account's third-party access page.
